Triona Milne

Triona Milne studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London on a complete undergraduate scholarship before completing a post graduate degree from the Royal College of Music with first class honours.
She was awarded the George Stennet Award and the prestigious Bank of Ireland Millennium scholarship to aid her studies. Since then she has played all over the world as a chamber musician and orchestral violist in such venues as the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Lincoln Centre, the Walt Disney Hall in LA, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Musikverein Vienna, Barbican Centre, St. Martins-in-the-Fields and has recorded in Abbey Road studios and Air Lyndhurst Studios.
Based in London, Triona is a member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and also enjoys a varied career as a freelance violist alternating between orchestral, chamber music and solo playing. She plays regularly with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, City of London Sinfonia, London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Arensky Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Ireland, the Heritage Orchestra, Aurora Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and Verbier Festival Orchestra.
